North & West Bali Destination

The ride from Bali’s international airport will approximately take 3.5 hours through one of Bali’s most photographed landscape in the highland of Bedugul, home to 3 major lakes of Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. A unique old temple floats on the lake of Beratan. Next is village of Munduk, where tropical plantation of coffee, clove and vanilla fills most scene along the road. The second path is along the west coast of Bali. Through Tabanan, Negara and Cekik. The main attractions are the west coast line and the small cities with their traditional culture and open hospitality.

There are certainly some other optional routes available either through the region of Pupuan or Negara. Even we can use a seaplane from Denpasar Airport and landed at a calmly Secret Bay in front of Menjangan Resort's floating jetty.

West Bali

Discovering the wonder of nature, above and more specifically below water, discover the other side of Bali. This is the least populated and least visited region of Bali. It is dominated by the West Bali National Park and a huge area of protected reserve, much of which is completely uninhabited. Both the north and south coasts of this region offer quiet beaches but of a very different nature. Those in the north fringe calm seas which are excellent for diving and snorkeling. The southern beaches are wilder and include a number of renowned surfing spots.

This area offers you a unique chance to experience the natural treasures or just relax and enjoy your stay at the hidden paradise away from Bali's hustle-bustle in the other tourism area. A massive number of activities are offered to be experienced. Kayak through secret mangrove maze. Dive or snorkel on one of the most beautiful coral reefs in Bali. Venture through the forest on horseback.

Lovina Beach

Lovina Beach is one of the famous tourist places in north part of Bali which own beautiful of calm sea water, blackish chromatic sand and the sea with its dolphin. One of the favorite fascinations in Lovina is dolphin watching tour. Hundreds of dolphins can be seen in the morning time around 1 km offshore. We can see the dolphin attractions in this place like jumping. It is not fail to draw if the tourist has the time to see the sunset here. Lovina area is also supported by the number of tourism fascination which is can be reached from this location.

Pulaki Temple

Pulaki Temple is a Hindu Temple located in the hill bank and in front of the beautiful beach in north part of Bali. It is one of the biggest Hindu temples in Bali situated in the coastal side west part of Singaraja town or 1 hour drive to the west from the town. This temple is set on the flat land with stone hill bank as a back drop meanwhile the blue ocean is just in front of the temple.

Banjar Hot Spring

Banjar Hot Spring is a nature hot wellspring from the ground and it is believed can heal the disease. Its water is accommodated at one small swimming pool encircled by unique rural nature, its situation close to the Wihara (Buda Temple). Banjar Hot Water is located in Banjar Countryside, Banjar sub district and Singaraja Regency. It is about 1,5 Km from Banjar or 24 Km from Singaraja Town. To reach the Hot Water location in Banjar, we can use the motor vehicle through the main road with good condition and passing the Balinese Village with unique culture life. The nearest accommodations like hotels or lodging including restaurants are also available in particular at Lovina Beach area. There are many public transportation also available to connect the travel to Singaraja town.

West Bali National Park

West Bali National Park covers some 770 square kilometres and is the dominant feature of this region. All visitors should check in and purchase permits at the main park ofice in the village of Cekik south of Gilimanuk. For treks through forest and into the hills of the national park, proceed to the ranger station at Sumber Klampok about 20 minutes west from Cekik. A guide is mandatory. Discuss all of this and make plans with the staff at the Cekik park office. If you are very lucky you might get to see a Bali Starling, Bali's only endemic vertebrate species.

Menjangan diving

Menjangan Vibrant Marine Life. Uninhabited Menjangan Island is a renowned diving and snorkeling destination. This is part of West Bali National Park and boats with a guide can be chartered at Labuan Lalang traditional harbor to Menjangan Island. Dive operators in Pemuteran or in hotel where you stay can arrange everything for you as well as other dive trips along this very attractive stretch of coastline. If the water does to appeal so much, then you can walk around in the island in about one hour and there are lots of good photo opportunities.


The Tomb of Jayaprana is a temple-mausoleum in Teluk Terima, located on a hillock over the road, the temple affords a panoramic view of the surrounding area. From here, you can see Menjangan Island, Gilimanuk and even Gunung Raung in neighboring Java. The story of Jayaprana and his wife Layonsari according to Balinese folklore is more like Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Mekepung Bufallo racing

Buffalo Racing known as Makepung, the buffalo races were originally held as part of the harvest festivities in Negara. The colorfully decorated carts and buffaloes race on a four km course every 2nd and 4th Sunday morning starting at 7.00 AM.

Rambut Siwi Temple Located between Negara and Medewi Beach on a low cliff top, this temple is overlooking a breathtaking panorama of paddy fields and the mountains of West Bali National Park on one side and black sand beaches on the other.

Sunset Restaurant at Mimpi Menjangan Resort. A half-floating restaurant is beautifully set up right at the water edge of the bay. View overlooks a waveless lagoon-like bay surrounded by lush mangrove vegetation and untouched monsoon forest. A string of East Java mountains with its peak Mount Ijen can be easily viewed from its wooden deck painting silky silouhuette during the sunset hours.

Bali Tower Restaurant at Menjangan Resort The Bali Tower is a one of a kind building. Made from 5 incredible logs, 33 meters long and 80 cm in diameter, the tower reaches above the tree line and offers excellent views across the bay and forest. Restaurants in LovinaWhen you drive along the main street of Lovina beach you will see many signs of restaurants, which are located in the side streets towards the beach.
